Wallace Fox is a member of the Onion Lake Cree Nation, Onion Lake, Saskatchewan.

He was first elected into politics at 21 years of age and then as elected as Chief at age of 25. He is the longest serving Chief for OLCN since Treaty was signed. He has been involved in Leadership with OLCN for over 30 years. Presented at UN on behalf of Treaty 6 people’s both in Geneva and New York, numerous times. While in office, he gained experience and knowledge in Business, Governance, and strived to create economic, financial independence for OLCN, while practicing Cree traditional ceremonies. He was Inspired with Teachings from Wise Traditional Knowledge Keepers. Travelled on economic trade missions to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Germany, England, to name a few counties. Developed first Gas Co-op in North America, utilizing our natural gas.

Negotiated 200 million dollar SAGD with Black Pearl Resources. Worked for Nevada Agency & Trust in 2000, USA. Sat on Center of Excellence SK, AOTC, FSIN, and AFN. Current chairman for Indian Resources Council. representatives of 134 producing Oil & Gas FNs from BC, AB, SK to Ontario. Current member of Health Board on Treaty-based Funding Arrangement with Treasury Board in Ottawa. (First of its kind).

He has excellent negotiation, public speaking, and presentation skills. He strongly believes in Learning our Heritage and History from our Elders. He believes in balancing the two worlds that will benefit and enhance our Future Generations for years to come.
